Training & Support for use of SDQpro.

Robert Goodman, inventor of the SDQ, estimates that there are a significant number of children and young people (5% or more) with serious, but unrecognised mental health disorders. SDQ assessment within schools can be one valuable pathway to recognising these unmet needs. We identify “ordinary” schools as the most important focus for mass screening programmes but recognise there can also be benefits of routine SDQ screening for social services, clinical practice, and other caring organisations.

Organisations wanting to conduct mass SDQ screening may apply to us for a licence to implement the SDQ electronically and administer it themselves (contact support@youthinmind.com). Another option is our SDQpro platform, which lets users define a large group of children and conveniently generate unique links for online SDQ completion. Other SDQpro functionality includes a group feature (e.g., classes, practice lists, special needs groups), enhanced visualisations, data exports and reports, and the ability to score paper SDQs alongside digital assessment. We offer free training for schools and other organisations who are considering using SDQpro. We also provide ongoing advice and support for these organisations. SDQpro training can include:

  • Account set up and organisation, assistance with payments
  • Assessment generation and scoring, updates, accessing results
  • Transferring data, exporting and archiving
  • Guidance on the SDQ questionnaire e.g. use, interpretation, recommendations
  • General queries
